The setting up

Allow your kids to be a part of the setup by giving them small tasks to do. Ask them to set up chairs, gather wood, set up trash bags, etc.

The bad weather

Pack some activities that can be done in the tent when the weather is bad. Kids will get antsy, but if you can keep them busy inside for a while, it will help.

The hike

When going for hikes, let each kid have their own backpack with essentials. Each kid should have water, sunscreen, a headlamp, tissues, wet wipes, and sunglasses. This also helps to avoid mom or dad carrying the whole campsite with them.

The clothing

Pack enough warm and summer clothes. There will be falling into water, playing in the mud, spilling food and drink, etc. Make sure to pack more than enough clothes for your kids.

The manners

Teach your kids camping etiquette. They should know things like being quiet early in the morning and late at night. They should know not to run through other people’s campsites and also to not bother other campers while eating or doing family activities.

The fun

The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the adventure with your kids. They will have a lot of opportunities to learn new things and explore the outdoors. Enjoy this journey with them and create wonderful memories.
