I have been tagged by the lovely Nat from Mummy Smiles to share 5 things I would like for Christmas.
Here's my Top 5 Wish List
1. A KitchenAid
2. Diamond Earrings
A girl can dream can't she?
Okay white gold ones with fake diamonds to replace the ones that broke will do.
I can't wear studs so this type is great and I loved mine so much I wore them everyday.
4. A Cake Stand
I don't have one of my own so I'm always borrowing my sisters.
5. A White Summer Dressing gown
I really need a dressing gown, not the silky types but like the ones you get in hotels. I have glass front doors and am up at 5am most mornings so I really need a dressing in summer otherwise my poor neighbours and early morning walkers might see more than they really want to at that time in the morning.
The biggest Christmas wish I have though is to have a wonderful Christmas season with my beautiful family and friends.
I am so loving baby food at the moment! I NEVER thought I would ever say that.
When Miss Molly was a baby I would spend ages cutting, cooking, mashing/blending and be totally devastated when it was rejected. So when Miss Jas came only I knew exactly what I wanted to buy when she started solids ..... A Phillips Avent Combined Blender and Steamer. I had seen Jade from Super Organiser Mum had one and she made baby food look easy. With this little baby it is! I just peel, chop, pop in for steaming, flip for blending and all done. Hardly any cleaning and super quick.I have also used a greater variety of fruit'n'veg than I would have with out it.
Yes it is a bit pricey (about $180) but I worked out the cost of commercial baby food (which I would eventually give in and buy every now and then) and figured it would pay itself off within no time and end up saving me money.
I love it and highly recommend it.
The steamer and blender comes with a small recipe book which I use along with these two books.
It's been a long time since I've posted a POTD. I've been thinking a lot about my project life and what I would like to change and improve on next year. One thing I have noticed about my project life is that it primarily about my life, my hobbies, the home, our family time and the kids. My poor husband and his life has been featured in small bits and none of his hobbies (he has a lot!). So I'm going to make more of an effort from now on, to capture more moments of his life too.
I started yesterday by photographing the floats he sprayed (with Molly supervising!)
Christmas is approaching faster than I would like! It's time to start thinking about the all important Christmas photo. Last year I printed my own photo Christmas cards and it was a miracle I managed to get Miss Molly to sit still long enough for a photo (mullet and all!!).
There are lots and lots of sites available that have free templates you can use.
Yes I have a cleaning caddy just for the ensuite bathroom and toilet. The caddy is new (Target) but I've always kept cleaning products on the top shelf of my walk-in-robe just for our bathroom and toilet. It might seem crazy to some but it really works for me. In it I kept toilet cleaner, soap scum cleaner, eucalyptus cleaning solution (diluted), a chux, window wipes and flush-able toilet wipes.
I never get enough time in one day to do a whole house clean as my darling children very rarely sleep at the same time and I prefer to clean when neither are around. Having cleaning products in the top of my walk-in-robe means it's all close by for when a snag 15-20mins (if I'm lucky!) of them both asleep. It also means it's easy to put back in a safe place away from little kiddies. My laundry is all the way at the other end of the house so I often getting distracted on the way to the laundry and on the way back so they used to get left in limbo on the kitchen bench - not a good look when unexpected visitors drop in!
Miss Molly's latest favourite books are these fabulous felt play books from Coles for $10. I think they are pretty special too! She has 3 of them - colours, shapes and farm animals.
I keep them up out of everyday reach as she does tend to lose some of the felt pieces on the floor. Lost felt pieces do not go well with a baby getting around a little easier these days. So when she asks for them I set her up a her table with them. Every morning for the last five days she's asked for them.
Hi my name is Kerina.
I am a thirty something stay at home mum again this year. I'm a trained early childhood teacher. I have two beautiful little girls, a 4 year old and a 2 year old. We have a new addition to the family due in May. I have a wonderful husband who is a fabulous Dad to our girls.
I love my life but definitely need at least two lattes a day to survive.
I LOVE coffee, shopping, organising, crafting with my kids, camping and project life.
